Concerts planned for 2026

What a shame. My son and I would love to go to that and we love Peggy’s Skylight too but sadly we are away in Devon that week.

Puccini’s Tosca at English National Opera in November.

Still not sure about non-original language productions, but I was hoping to see Tosca again soon (it’s been awhile), so…

Looking forward to it!

Just booked the last ticket to see Rymden in Dorking (Surrey).

The two surviving members of the Esbjörn Svensson Trio and Bugge Wesseltoft.

Enjoying their latest album Today may be Tomorrow.

We’ve got Alison Moyet next week at the Glasshouse, Gateshead, and Trip the following week at a local town hall. These two couldn’t be more different!

I’ve just noticed that Spiritland are now at the Barbican with their Living voice sound system. Lots of events coming up so I’ll hope to be heading up to the Barbican soon! Not been able to get out much recently due to a unfortunate back problem requiring a month in hospital…

Just up the road I’m due to see Teenage Fanclub at The Boiler Shop in a few weeks. How was Alison Moyet?

Utterly brilliant. A real tour de force. Quite amazing. She didn’t just do a few well known Yazoo numbers but dug into some of her lesser known material and has me looking to investigate her back catalog. She engaged with the audience to explain several of her songs too. A great evening. I love the Glasshouse venue. Great acoustics but still reasonably intimate.
