Connecting SN3/Hicap to ATC SCM40A

What would be the best way to connect SN3/HC to SCM40A?
Should I buy a Din to XLR cable or a XLR to XLR cable and then have some sort of converter to RCA to connect to the pre-out of the SN?

Will the same cable also fit if I replace the SN for 282?

Something like these should work. Not sure how the output of the Hicap does with long runs of cable.

You could also use RCA-Balanced XLR from the subwoofer output
