Connecting Uniti Star with Linn Sondek turntable

Just updated my Naim Nait XS to a new Uniti Star and have discovered my (obviously older) phono preamp will not connect my Linn Sondek — a different connector apparently.

Anyone have any suggestions how I do this, since Naim’s support has failed to respond to me?

Which Phono pre-amp do you have?

The Uniti Star has an analogue input on either DIN or RCA Phono so should be able to accommodate pretty much whichever phono pre-amp you used with the NAIT previously.

Thanks for responding! I have the Naim Stageline N MM phono preamp. I just checked to see if it had RCA output and it doesn’t.

You can use the Stageline with the Star, but as it can’t power the Stageline it will need its own dedicated PS - either an i-Supply (s), Flatcap, or HICAP would do. Then connect to the Star using a 4-5 Din interconnect or DIN4-RCA Phono i/c.

Thanks for the info… I shall look into this. Another option I’ve just discovered is the Spartan 15 or Spartan 20, handmade in the UK by Michael Fidler. Gets pretty good reviews and not expensive.
