Hopefully a simple question. Just bought a Core to replace Unitiserve which broke after 12 years. All seems better so far. The previous owner advised that it probably needs a SW update. I understand that the new uniti products update SW via the Naim Focal app (I have the latest version) but I can’t see how or where on that app I may install a SW update to the Core. Manual doesn’t seem to mention the process so any advice would be appreciated.

Open Core on the app. Top right on the app is a gear wheel symbol for settings - under that is ‘check for updates’.
Thanks Clive - that option isn’t available on the app on my iPhone but I’ve downloaded the iPad app and it’s there. Perhaps it can only be done via iPad?

It will be there in your iPhone app too.
Just go the Core in your iPhone app, tap the gear wheel icon top right and you will see Check for updates is half way down the list that is revealed.
But the iPad app will do just as well.
Yes David you’d think it would be the same but it’s not on my iPhone app. This is all it shows.
I note you can’t see rip progress monitor on the iPhone app either but can on the iPad version.
The settings display on my iPhone is identical to that on my iPad and doesn’t look like your screen shot, so there something odd happening with your phone. I would try deleting and reinstalling the app on your phone.
That’s not a Core settings screen. It’s a streamer settings screen! You have to go to the Core in your phone and then click on the settings gear on the Core homepage.
Strange. It’s the latest iOS app version 7.0.

If you go to About in Core Settings then look at System Version, what is the number sequence on that line? The latest version is 2.5.7:4059
Thanks David. I’ve installed the latest version to the Core. I must say what an improvement the whole Core product is over the incredibly clunky Unitiserve!
The Hardware and SW is far superior and it also sounds better through the NDS. Slightly annoying that I waited so long (until it started flashing constantly) to replace the Unitiserve!
