As the fastest growing genre in the UK (and probably elsewhere) I’m surprised no one’s started a thread about country and variations thereof.
From souly, bluesy Chris Stapleton to folky Zach Bryan to rocky Jason Aldean to hip hop tinged Jelly Roll, there’s some brilliant music to be had. Even the pop stars Beyoncé and Chapel Roan are at it.
Any other fans out there (and bands or artist they’d recommend)?
Loved his Gold album then he went for quantity over quality for a few years. He then came out “Do you still love me?” Which is great. Reminds me of Tom Petty at his best.
Larkin Poe ? A wide range of material
, and their videos through the Pandemic were wonderful, and their rendition of Sounds Of Silence ( in their Jim Jams ) is wonderful
With a fantastic back catalogue of well crafted songs with some thought provoking lyrics across numerous albums and musical styles then Steve Earle has to be in the list.
