How to tell a Credo from an Intro 2?
Is this a Credo?
It looks like a Credo to me.
As far as I know, they have the same bass units. The Credo has a Scanspeak tweeter, whereas the Intro 2’s is made by Vifa. The easiest way to check is surely to look at the sticker on top of the lower box.
IIRC there is a different (cheaper) ‘nose’ on the intro bass unit.
As I recall the Credo and original Intro had the crossover in a separate compartment screwed to the back of bass unit. The Intro2 had the crossover within the body of the speaker.
The phase plug in the center of the chassis is made of metal—on the Credo. On an Intro chassis, it’s made of plastic, and you can feel it.
