5 wickets for Australia or 63 for India to win inside the last hour. Will India shut up shop now?

Great finish.

Bruce

And it’s they’re B team. You guys will need to be on your toes, this Indian side is the real deal.

There just playing with us.

The India selectors will have a job!

22 to win. Paine must he having palpitations.

Langer will blow a fuse…

Don’t sledge the Indians…karma!

Karma? Sounds like depth of talent, and huge self confidence to me.

It is and it’s great to listen to and watch…although a slight glitch now given their tail?

And let’s not forget, many have been calling for more variation in India’s selection policy.

7 down but to be honest they deserve to win.

And win they did, good on them.

Problem is we now drop to 3rd, NZ 2nd and India rightfully 1.

Fantastic series that I have caught up with via the radio whilst we have been had weeks of ice, occasional snow, and now torrential rain.

Love cricket.

These guys are going to be just a little challenging when we play them soon at home. That is India, not Australia by the way

Good luck, you’ll need it. Hope it’s on TV here.

Just woken up and seen the result. Blimey!!

Indeed - what a result!

Great win by India.

Australia, wow where to start. It’s clear for all to see now (and taking nothing away from India, great come from behind win.) that apart from possibly the best bowling attack in the world, the Aussies are a joke.

Paine needs to go, pathetic Captain, keeper and batsman. Not just this Series, the Ashes he was found out to be the out of his depth Captain that he is.

Pick batsman with some with ticker, even if you fail sometimes.

I would say India and New Zealand are the two best sides at the moment.
Australia have a good team on paper but at times are as brittle as England.
I hope we try one or two of our other spinners before taking India on.

I’m anticipating a humbling of England in India.
But I am looking forward to the contest.

I think Seadog is a bit harsh but is does seem that the batting line up is much as when they came to England for the Ashes in summer 2019; in other words if Smith doesn’t score there is not a huge amount else to rely on (with a nod to Labuschagne). I wonder what percentage of Australia’s runs those two have scored since the start of that summer? It will be pretty high I think.

From the commentary I heard Starc sounded like a man in need of a rest but Cummins is deservedly the No 1 in the world. Fantastic bowler.

Paine does look pretty vulnerable but Langer chose him for more than just his stats. Not clear who else would take it either. Would Smith would be acceptable to the Aussie public again?

Anyway England have one more Test against Sri Lanka before going against India. Tough ask!

Not really Bruce. His keeping this series has been *&$# poor, batting was just barely OK, but his captaincy at crucial times was quite frankly bizarre. Just like in England, negative / safe Captaincy, never seems to fully grasp key momentum swings in matches.

And he’s 36, time to move him on I’m afraid. David Warner after the SA Series is even lucky to be playing for Australia again, so needs runs and lots of them to keep his spot, another fail. But most likely was not 100% fit after an injury a few weeks ago, so gets a fee pass (for now anyway).

OK. So who’s captain next?

For me, Pat Cummins.

Because the obvious choice (Steve Smith) will never be given another go, although he’s clearly the best qualified/suited for it.
