Bizarre. It was a Gray Nicholls, not something he made in his shed.

My Gray Nicholls isn’t wide enough in my view.

Eng v Aus T20 – more of pretty much the same team (Carse for Archer). @Pete_the_painter – assume on FTA down under? Aussies are batting and…going OK.

Phil Salt (c), Captain (wk), Wicket Keeper
Will Jacks
Jordan Cox
Liam Livingstone
Jacob Bethell
Sam Curran
Jamie Overton
Brydon Carse
Adil Rashid
Saqib Mahmood
Reece Topley

It’s gone 6am here and thanks to my nurse and her 4 hourly routine I’m up for the last few others. Looks like it might be close.

No it’s not on FTA but I do have subscription.

Good on yer…(& her)… very sorry to learn of your tribulations. Stay strong.

Finely balanced game this.

Balanced, think it’s all in your favour

…not now. Collapse in progress !

Probably better if the lights were on.

Least we’re making you work for it.

And what’s with the Hey Dude, seems to be getting a lot of play during all sorts of sports lately. It’s even been used by a few Aussie Rules teams here too.

Good innings by Livingstone (oops sorry). :+1:

Thought T20 Finals Day was rather good, T20 (IMHO) becomes much more watchable when it is lower scoring than the “wham, bam, thank you Ma’am” of too many T20.

Very sorry to see David “Syd” Lawrence so poorly with (I understand ) Motor Neurone Disease

England don’t seem to have any penetration (at 37 overs). Rash has looked like the only bowler who worries them and he hasn’t been successful.

England needed, and for a lot of their innings, looked like they would get, 375.

But they knocked a few back to the bowler and also hit it in the air where they had fielders. Never a good idea.

" More from Harry Brook on England’s dismissals: “We are out there to score runs. If you get caught somewhere on the boundary or in the field then who cares?”

Well I effing well do for starters.!! Brain in gear before mouth please.

Not for the first time that could be applied to Mr Brook , I would refer you to his foot in mouth in the IPL

I only watched a bit of the Australian innings. Head looks to be in the sort of form that makes him almost impossible to bowl at. Great to watch, tough to play against!

Brook looked a bit lost, chasing the ball with field changes. His comments above also suggest he has a bit to learn.

This series is going to be tough, England finding their way back and a bit of identity again, trying new players and combinations is a good thing though. On a flat and turning wicket I am not sure the mix of pace v spin was right either. Can we pick another specialist spinner rather than these part-time all rounders? Hartley?
