Since 10 years I am listening less and less to lps. Last year maybe 30 hours. I want to turn the page, and enjoy, relax, without having to search in my collection, clean the cart, the lp, then search another lp 10 mn later…

Do you do any welding in there it looks like magnetic deposits
I have had this same type of deposit. It looks like soot (ash) from new or recent vinyl records that has settled on the face of the cartridge around the cantilever. Even when cleaning the discs, this can still happen. In principle,
this soot should not contaminate the inside of the cartridge, as the elastomer seal on the cantilever acts as a shield. Otherwise, the cartridges would be out of service before the styluses.

All I can say is that the cartridge is working perfectly. Now the dust is removed. No problem I can see.
