Dave Mason r.i.p

Dave Mason finally left us over the weekend. He was a member of Traffic with Winwood, Capaldi and Wood creating some iconic music. If you ever get to hear All along the watchtower by Jimi Hendrix without the 12 string guitar that Dave Mason played on it, the song just is not the same……he made a big difference to that recording. He worked with Eric Clapton in Derek and the dominos, and played on George Harrisons All things must pass. I particularly like his solo work and the recent album with the late Steve Cropper. Hope they have some good gigs up there, thanks for the music Dave.

Update, he cooked and ate lunch with his wife, sat in his favourite chair for a nap with his Maltese dog Star at his feet, and never woke up. He left on his own terms, not a bad way to go.
