Still the ADSM Katalyst measures extremely well and has very low noise floor. It was measured by audio science review a while ago.
Yes, probably. What I wrote about the DVC applies to the original ADSM (now named ADSM/0). The ADSM/1 got a better clock, and the ADSM/3 got Katalyst, so itâs very probable that the ADSM/3 should measure considerably better than the ADSM/0. Perhaps the analog attenuation is not even needed anymore.

Iâm currently demoing an Akurate DSM/3, ie. with Katalyst, and it doesnât have this attenuation switch anymore, which my /1 still has. So the DAC in the /3 indeed seems to be good enough now, so that it doesnât need the attenuation switch anymore and can rely on the digital volume control alone.
