Demoing linn DSM + naim nap 250 dr vs superuniti/nac n272 +nap 250dr system

Out of mine too, regrettably.

Still the ADSM Katalyst measures extremely well and has very low noise floor. It was measured by audio science review a while ago.

Yes, probably. What I wrote about the DVC applies to the original ADSM (now named ADSM/0). The ADSM/1 got a better clock, and the ADSM/3 got Katalyst, so it’s very probable that the ADSM/3 should measure considerably better than the ADSM/0. Perhaps the analog attenuation is not even needed anymore.

the reason the Naim stays is because after a decade of experiments, I realised there is simply no substitute of Pace Rhythm and Timing…

I’m currently demoing an Akurate DSM/3, ie. with Katalyst, and it doesn’t have this attenuation switch anymore, which my /1 still has. So the DAC in the /3 indeed seems to be good enough now, so that it doesn’t need the attenuation switch anymore and can rely on the digital volume control alone.
