I have to keep mine on as the arms pull my ears forward so I can hear.
Without searching for any conversations about wearing glasses whilst listening, I found, some time ago, that I preferred to take them off as I was convinced it improved the experience. In a world of tiny differences I felt this was a very quick, and extremely cheap, win.
When my trusted Naim dealer came to instal another box we started to discuss these tiny differences - curtains closed or shut, cushions on the sofa, wearing a fleece with a high collar etc. etc. He then said “you may find this strange, but I remove my reading glasses as I think this improves the sound…”.
Notwithstanding the many flippant replies to this thread, I have to say I actually agree that one’s perception of sound changes when listening with glasses off. I find my spatial awareness changes if I remove my glasses while listening to music and it becomes much more immersive.
Glasses taken off = snake oil
