Duelund dca16ga

Good morning, has anyone used Duelund DCA16GA speaker cables? Perhaps double-threaded? In Naim amplifiers? With what results? Thanks

I have used the waxed cotton, parallel (non-twisted) DCA16 and DCA12 cables with my SN3. I soldered Tuneful pure-silver Z-bananas to each end.

I still ended up preferring my WH Phantoms, but the SN3 never wavered with them (i.e. it seemed safe). Though, I did not take a capacitance reading with them; I just leaned on the known-geometry (untwisted) and wire gauge.

I preferred the DCA12 by a fair margin for SQ in my system. But DCA16 would be great for a bi-amplified setup for the treble.

And any Van Den Hul SCS models? Maybe the SCS12? Have you tried how they compare to other more specific Naim amp models? They seem a bit too relaxed to me. Thanks.

I’ve used the Duelund dca16 in my main system (not naim) for five or six years now and have now no complaints. I purchased a Naim Nait 50 this year and used the Duelund cable with it for around six months before moving the N50 into another room.

It seems from reading on this forum some of the older Naim amps need to have some care taken when choosing cables.
