Talking of Nookie - this is a great album. This is back in the days on the Goodlooking Records label under the guise of the grand master himself - Mr LTJ Bukem! :sunglasses:

Yup. I was hoping to see him again on the Isle of Wight for my birthday this summer at Sandown airport. Just about to book the hotel for that weekend and everything and all hell has broke loose with this virus. Oh well, as least folks are keeping safe and are self-isolating away from any dangers from the mainland. I can imagine it being a nightmare on the island. Maybe he’ll do another set next year once this nightmare has passed over. I feel really sorry for all of the local businesses in and around that area too. :disappointed:

I’m from the Island originally, got friends/family down there. I think they’ve had quite an influx of second homers making an early summer migration down to the Isle according to my dad.

If you’re on that tip tonight you need to be delving in to Acid Orange, Acid Planet, Bunker, Unit Moebius, I-F.
I’ll dig a few examples out, Beverly Hills 808303 for starters!

I always thought the Earth series were really good. A more chilled out intelligent jazzy feel to them, production quality is nice too. A breath of fresh air from his Progression Session line up. Volume Two here in particular is a wonderful example of that series. :sunglasses:

Check out the R&S In Order To Dance series also.
Number 6 was always a fave in a similar tip.

New and interesting, Polish producer, boy got skills.

Many thanks, i think I’ll check those out. :slightly_smiling_face:

Isn’t it amazing how much music can teleport one back into time, giving one a feeling of the past in a way no other thing can. It can give you butterflies, this is the power of music. It’s a truly phenomenal feeling!

Here is an album for me doing just that. What a different world it was in those days and to be part of that fabulous experience almost brings a tear to my eye. Anyway, enough that sentimental stuff (slightly welling up here).

This is a fantastic compo album by The Beloved! :slightly_smiling_face:

Some great reworkings done here from some of the most formidable dance/electro producers in the world!

Sad news that Larry Sherman Trax founder just died.

My listening currently this evening, a favourite I often loop back to.

I had a CD along these lines from back then, Bleeps, Beats and Breaks or something like that?

Anyway, been listening to this today, certainly of its time sounds!

Yes, I have PFM’s (aka Mike Bolton) only album from the GLR stable. He is one of my fave producer and my favourite track (amongst many of his) is a track called - The Western. The original version is by far my favourite but also this later remix from himself is nothing short of totally awesome. He is still going strong to this day and has had to cancel a lot of his set due to the current climate.

Some positive vibrations on an ambient techno/house IDM theme.

Full version of this 2018 release

Enjoy.
