Electronics in MIT Terminator 3 LS cable

Because the were laying around I currently use MIT terminator 3 LS cables which are around 25 years old for the connection between the Uniti Star and Audiovector speakers. I wonder if the magical electronics in the cable have a negative influence on the sound because of their age or maybe even that cables of that age should better be replaced because the SQ are too deteriorated anyway.
