Yes, & so we hear, on so many occasions, but you clearly do not understand why I call it a comparison, because that’s all you are doing & applying your own opinion, its like a magazine review, but most well respected magazine reviews include a write up on the equipment used in the review.
A collection of pictures showing rooms of equipment after the event is meaningless. Maybe some www.links to the forums & other places you associate with in Sweden will be even more interesting
Whatever the bottom line is all your posts are only your opinion (I suspect its the language problem again) Yes some of your reports are interesting, but the way you go on about this is like you are the worlds authority & us lesser mortals have no right to disagree, sorry but you just set yourself up.

Likely b/c you spent a large sum on a cable and you’re not convinced it was worth it so you’re looking for affirmation. I see a lot of it in this thread. It’s standard post purchase dissonance.

Here’s a 6K summary:
Lots of people like a Cisco switch. One model was initially preferred, subsequently changed to another, and then the preferred colours where changed. Then the EG came along and is preferred by some. Chord are bringing out a new one. Everyone will probally go through at least 3 switch changes a year to keep up.
Some people cascade switches, though no one is sure why.
The cat fighting is better than Facebook.
Stephen has a cupboard full of switches and cable and has gone wireless.
HH loves his 272, it’s night and day above anything else,
Unless you have a Fraim there is no point in even having a system.
There is universal disagreement on cables and testing methods.
I’ve upgraded my network to reduce noise and are happy with the results and are moving to the enjoying music stage.

Wow sad and pretty bitter…you are in the wrong place mate…people hear are just generally ethusistic and passionate if you cant be bothered to be reasonable and considerate … you can pick holes very easily in most people passion … but to condescend to this … well I hope you are happy.

I cascade Cisco switches because the low cost of doing it is worth every euro to be able to say the words out loud: Cascading Cisco switches. Now try to say it fast repeatedly.
And also I think it improves on the sound, but that is a bonus.

Technically my two switches are cascaded too - my Core in the media room connects to a switch with a line that feeds to both a Nova in the same room and feeds a second switch in another room that then feeds an NDX2 in the main system.

I thought Mike_S’s post (no. 6003, yes 6003!) was rather amusing. Now and agin we all really need to poke fun at ourselves. If those outside this unique circle saw what we were doing, we would all be sectioned!
I have the cascaded Cisco switches and posh Ethernet cables, so will be one of the first admissions!
BTW, I am poking fun, not being rude. Self-deprecation is what we Brits do best.
