You may remember the august member from the Forum’s last incarnation, J-N.
He invented the technique of isolating the crossovers from his Allaes by putting a large car cleaning sponge between the unscrewed crossover and the speaker cabinet.
So it might look crap but why not try a large sponge as a base for a switch?
Or would that wobble as the switch vibrates and lack solidity?
Hic!
Lovely Monday glass of Gnarly Dudes Two Hands
But probably a really terrible idea!

The wiki quotes a Fiat 500, there’s one of those round the corner. When when every one has gone to bed I’ll pop out and borrow them. I’m sure it will be fine without as long as it stays below 30 mph.
No.
He never made the switch to the new forum.
But I still chat with him occasionally on email.
He wrote a piece for Signals on the effect of the Musicworks block which helped to popularise that a while ago.
He is always reconstructing his sound systems and loves the music…
@JimDog,…Good to hear,.has he still his Allae.?
Some changed the nickname on the new forum,.so I don’t recognize all.
Is Huge here,.or did she disappeared with the old forum.?
Nothing personal but I think you’re all nuts. Here’s an idea. When ones mucking about comparing Ethernet cables, take a break, go out side take a few deep breaths, have a glass of cold water. Now listen again. Bet it all sounds different.
Too late mate. I have already whipped out all the usable bushings from my Fiat 500 and they are wedged under and between bits of HiFi, which is sounding great BTW. The Fiat rattles a bit though.
