Great goal though.

Oh my, that was a stonker

Playing with fire :fire: here! :flushed:

Now you realise how poor the England performance was. Good game so far.

Good first half. Well done Scotland :scotland:.
Enjoying it.

Hamstring injury caught as it happened - ouch

Thoroughly enjoyed the match.
Scotland :scotland: Need same performance against Hungary :hungary: next week.
Come on :muscle:

Well done Scotland. Great comeback!

That’s a point more than I expected, but what TF do I know? :scotland: :scotland: :scotland:

All the media talking heads saying what a great result for The Jocks tonight.

Yer ‘avin’ a larf, surely?

An own goal, after all.

It’s most unlikely that we will overtake The Swiss on goal difference, even if we should prevail against Hungary.

We did hit the heights in qualifying to travel to Shermany in the first place, but let’s face it, the reality is that we’re really not that good at all, and have found our point of equilibrium.

Sorry. :man_shrugging: :scotland:

But if you win. Then will be 3rd with 4 points. Which is likely to be enough to qualify

You may be right, of course, but I don’t find being “best of the rest” to be all that inspiring.

A lifetime following Scotland through various levels of plucky mediocrity has left me rarely being critical of the team’s performance, but rather casting a weary eye at all the media hype surrounding the team.

'Mon The Jocks. :scotland:

This. Anyone who has followed the home nations at international tournaments over the decades will recognise that Scotland are bang on course for their typical performance. One shocker every time. Always one great moment. That’s about it. Going ahead tonight is likely the peak. They may not lose the next game but winning it would achieve something no other Scottish team has done. If it happens it will be more about the quality of the opposition as this is not a great Scottish team by any stretch of the imagination.

Bit surprised people are claiming the own goal would have gone in anyway. All the angles I’ve seen suggested it was straight at the keeper pretty much.

I was surprised that Stuart Armstrong was not brought on with twenty minutes to go. He offers more than a blood n thunder Braveheart approach, with his ability to thread a decisive pass through the lines, or even score himself.

Maybe next time.
