Denmark have been done there. Twice.
I hate VAR and the current handball rules. Ruining the game.
And the offside where an attacker and defenders toes are pointing in opposite directions so the attacker is ruled offside. Bloody stupid. And stupid that no-one who decides the rules canât see it.
This rule is definitely ridiculous. At this rate going forward robots with advanced AI would be playing the game.
Thatâs going to be exciting!
Denmark being shafted. Home advantage. Germany will win this tournament.
Looking increasingly like home advantage rather than natural justice will be the winner here.
The law, as they say, is an ass. Feel for the Danes.
Used to be that teams had to create goals, but nowadays the laws drive towards players approaching the 'box and firing the ball at a defender. Perverse doesnât come close.
This Euro is surely the start of the end of football as we knew it. The whole ridiculous scrutiny of the var over so many incidents is a total farce. The love and emotion in football is going if not gone. The guy was given a handball against him in the penalty area, when it barely touched his finger. It didnât affect any part of the action and it was totally unintentional. Another decision was an offside by a toe and even then the offside line was changed multiple times in a few seconds and again had no effect on the outcome of the action. Just a farce, the whole thing.
While I understand the the frustration with the delays in using VAR I donât mind as long as they get the right decision.
As you Germany they were my pick from day one and still think theyâre favourites.
Quite agree. As a spectator in winter, sitting in the cold waiting five minutes for a doubtfull decision involving a few millimetres wrenches the enjoyment out of the game. Iâd rather rely on the ref.
Part of the enjoyment used to be the option of excusing your teamâs poor performance due to the officials decisions!
VAR was supposed to stop howlers, now it seems to be creating them.
Does that count as a shot on target from Harry Kane after just 4 seconds?
My thoughts as well.
Worrying that it is our only effort so far.
At the moment I find myself saying âOh, FFSâ about once every 30 seconds
With the number of rubbish yellow cards this ref is doling out, itâs going to be a non-contact game
The players better learn quickly, this ref is waving cards around like itâs a semaphore lesson. I donât see this ending without a red card for someone
Lucky to finish with 11 v 11 here. No mugs Slovakia.
No surprise that tbf. England still looking like a collection of individuals.
And so it beginsâŚ
To say this is not looking good is a bit of an understatement.
