Does anyone else rant and rage at the stupid sticky cup things for the glass on the fraim!! I hate them - my whoop just told me I am having a work out rebuilding my set up for the third time…
No. I don’t use them. You’ll soon get used to that idea ![]()
They are purely optional, and mainly for anyone worried about knocking the glass shelves or with family members who also use the system on Fraim.
Personally, I don’t use them as keeping the balls centred within them (i.e. not touching the plastic ring as that impairs performance) is quite tricky.
I tried them, and, well total waste of money.
Mine came with the shelves, so included in the cost. I have tried both. The restrictions that Richard mentions are a pain, on the other hand they don’t slide like the shelves without.
Ah ha I think I may have conformed to a rule that doesnt exist!!!
Well I worry that cleaners and other fiddlers might move the shelves but maybe I should just get rid!
Try it and see. My favourite trick on a non-plastic-cupped shelf is to pull it off the rear bearing when it then crashes onto to the wood frame (!) as a result of a ham-fisted attempt to move the piece of equipment on it, which inevitably has stuck to the glass. This includes fiddling about with cables at the back of said equipment. Worst case scenario I can see is LP12 shelf crashing off the rear bearing; so that one definitely has cups!
