Exciting new music

This is just another of the OP’s rather pointless threads; exciting music, music by girls, music by Germans. Why not music to wash your hair by, music for cooking, music to relax to….

Yes. There is a major problem with that question.

There are quite a few forum members who would be absolutely distraught if they inadvertently became exited about anything. :grinning:

Lea Sen.

New artist making great music.

Notice the cat basket on the turntable. :scream_cat:

Thank you for your considered remarks.

Thanks

Prog rock band based in Brighton, unusually with female vocalist, first album is a great listen. If you like that sort of thing, obviously

Great new record.

As for this being a pointless thread I assumed, maybe naively, that the interest in high quality music reproduction equipment stems from the love of high quality music, or am I missing something ?

High quality music is a subjective term though.

Yes it is, one man’s Beatles is another man’s Wurzels! All I was trying to get was for people to recommend some good ( in their Opinion ) new music which I can listen to then decide if I like it or not!
Surely that’s not too big an ask is it?

Have a listen to Ese and The Vooduu People, their first album Up In Smoke was released in 2019. Here’s a taste of them live:

A head & heart turner for me.
Great band.

I agree; it’s good to get pointers for new music. My rather negative comment was because the OP has put up a few random threads that don’t go anywhere, and by asking for new music offered no suggestions of their own. What exactly is ‘exciting’ new music?

Anyway, if people are to make recommendations I feel it would be helpful if they added a couple of paras on what it’s like and why they like it. Otherwise it’s just random suggestions.

If I have any suggestions I tend to put them in the what are you listening to thread: the problem there is that there are so many posts it’s hard to sort the wheat from the chaff. A dedicated thread around ‘new discoveries I’d recommend’ would certainly be useful. A fantastic new recording of a Bach piece is just as new as singer or band of course.

Thank you at least some of you are getting it🫣 I do wonder if you were in the pub with your mate and he happened to ask you; “listened to any new good albums lately?” Would you give him/her such a hard time😉

Ha ha. The last time that happened was when I was in the pub with Ric Sanders, who plays electric violin with Fairport. It turns out we both have a love of Anouar Brahem’s music, and so we swapped recommendations.
