I was just looking at the RB website to see who their juniors were other than Hadjar and noticed something interesting. Verstappen is listed under “special alumni”, but AFAIK he was never really part of the junior programme, only half a season or so when he had already been signed to STR.

But back to their juniors, is there really anyone other than Hadjar they could give it to? Or will they sign someone from outside, like Colapinto?

I can see some confusion coming from using “RB”
Is that the whole organisation, or Red Bull (the ‘senior’ team) or Racing Bulls (the new name for the ‘junior’ team)

Bring back Bottas.

The juniors are tied to the (racing) organisation, they can go to either team.

Only if they fire Tsunoda. Youngsters need to be evaluated against a known benchmark. Evaluating Bottas against Tsunoda makes little sense to me.

Bottas has gone back to Merc.

Yeah but as a reserve driver. Offer him an actual drive though…

He’s not good enough as a future Verstappen replacement and he’s too good as a Verstappen teammate.

better than Perez imo.

Agree. Lawson is no Perez temper wise and sparks will fly. I m looking forward to seeing Christian managing those two. Should be an interesting season.

Agreed. I think Lawson is a bit of a hot head, which might not be for the best

Yes he had that outburst about McLaren really being a New Zealand team. Not wise.

50 days until testing in Bahrain…Just 66 days until Friday Practice in Melbourne.

Looking forward to it more than last year. Hamilton’s development in the Ferrari team is going to be interesting, plus the new drivers.

Hamilton was soundly beaten by Russell (at least in qualifying) in their 3 seasons together.
I expect Leclerc to do the same to Hamilton.

6 seasons against each other

Interesting to see how Russel came good at Merc just as Lewis was leaving.

I think you are correct though with Leclerc being favourite at the beginning of the season. I expect that to change as Lewis learns the car and the way that Ferrari do things, if he can.
