F1 - 2025 Season

Well done McLaren. They’ve come a long way. Both drivers did well but well done Lando for his recovery after the mid season.

Some great overtaking after his pit stop.

Many congrats to Lando Norris - boxed clever today to secure the world championship.

Tut, Tut Yuki - very naughty boy.

Good finish to the season by MV.

Who would have thought six months ago that he would get this close to winning another championship.

Thankfully he didn’t.

Definitely good to see What’s his name beaten to the championship by Lando Norris, albeit by the narrowest of margins since McLaren messed things up so badly in recent races. I was surprised how Tsunoda was so willing to just throw sportsmanship aside in a bid to hold Lando up, but hopefully he will be shuffled off out of F1 now, as he has proved less than successful driving for RB this year.

I think the most impressive of the new drivers this year was Antonelli. It will be interesting to watch him next year.

It will also be interesting to see what Lewis decides to do. Really he should go off and do something else now, but I reckon he will give it one more year and will want to see whether he is able to get a Ferrari car to work properly for him.

Yes, if MV had won McLaren would have egg over their faces and everywhere else.

A great season, and Lando is a worthy first-time world champion . Maclaren didn’t make it easy for themselves, but in the end deservedly got both championships. Together with Max and RB, they gave us an enthralling championship. And there were some great midfield battles to enjoy.

George’s turn next year😉

The changes for next year will be interesting. Plus the dynamics between Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar should be worth watching to see how they gel together.

And getting to know your X-Modes from your Z-Modes.

Who will have the best MGU-K?

Will Pirelli tyres last longer with smaller carcasses making contact with the tarmac?

Will Ford and Audi have decent enough power units to compete?

Will Ferrari learn any lessons at all since the Ross Brawn years..?!

Really? More so than Hadjar or Bortoletto? And let’s not forget Bearman. A really good class of '25.

It’s hard to call this season, but I don’t think Antonelli was the most impressive. Probably Bortoletto or Hadjar for me.

And regarding team orders, is that that different to what McLaren did? Piastri might have had a chance to win if they hadn’t used him to keep Verstappen away from Norris.

The only question we can answer at the moment is the last one, with a definitive, No.

Congrats LN well done and well deserved.

Looking forward to the new cars and teams for ‘26.

Quite unreal that Lewis still managed to finish sixth in the table without a single Feature Race podium!

I was thinking the same earlier on. Quite outstanding, really. People tend to forget that he has 7 world championships under his belt.

Congratulations to Lando Norris, a worthy champion.

What a great season. it could have been any one of the 3 at various points in the year. Looking back, there have been mistakes by McLaren, and they could have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with their antics. I see that Channel 4 coverage dedicated the presentation to Eddie Jordan, who sadly passed earlier in the year, but I am pretty sure that if he had survived to now would have berrated McLaren for how they ran the team and would have said they needed to stop the even-handed nonsense and choose a number one driver!

Mind you, Max had his chances and had he not seen the red mist and bunted into Russel earlier in the year, he might have won. Max has risen in my estimations this year, but that incident was a black mark for sure.

Still, that is all ifs, buts and maybes. Lando could have had more points if he had not hit the wall in Canada or indeed not have the DNF in the Netherlands. It could have been different for Oscar if a couple of things had gone his way more but it can only be the person with the most points at the end of the last race that wins.

It could be very exciting next year with the new regs mixing things up and at least 4 drivers capable of winning the championship.

There have been comments here about less aero or skinnier tyres making the racing better. I don’t understand this firstly, F1 is all about being the pinnacle of racing and appliance of technology. F1 has and must always move forward. In any case how can there be much wrong when the championship goes to the last race between 3 drivers?

He had quite the race today. I hope this means he will be back next year in a better car.
