I would have thought that the equipment and materials needed to produce fake records would be too expensive to make it worthwhile but clearly not.
I’ll look elsewhere, legacy media.

EMI were in that part of London back in the day. I presume this guy’s 70 pressing gear came form this factory somehow.
Looks like the standard of vinyl is more akin to holding a bowl of soup ![]()
I went to school round there - EMI used to have a record dump on a site on the Southall/Hayes border (presumably before recycling was a thing). As kids we never found anything of interest, though..
Interesting use of “legacy media” as a pejorative.
Whilst The Guardian has a political slant, in common with all UK newspapers. It is rated high by the independent media watchdog “All Sides” for factual reporting. I’d far rather rely on their news, or similar rated established media outlets.
I think he was referring to vinyl.
But as for newspapers, it is always interesting to read across the spectrum, and see what each one includes, ignores, or leaves out. The kerfuffle over Sheeran, is a good example of the way his quote was presented in full or cut to suit an agenda. (I hope I have not strayed into politics).
I read it as a reference to ‘The Guardian’, rather than a reference to vinyl, too.
