I have no idea what overshoot day is.

I looked it up.

A rather depressing subject, I’m afraid. The UK has a relatively good score compared to other developed nations, but as with all yardsticks of global sustainability, we are collectively heading in the wrong direction.

I think Overshoot is never going to be reversed. We have already left permanent and irreversible damage in the soil and water systems. Mostly plastics and oil based chemicals. It seems we all have Teflon, amongst others in our bodies. Apparently no child will ever be born that does not contain a man made contaminant. Very depressing.
