I see some others have had this on a NAC N 272. Anything different with an NDS?
I think is might be very bad news!
Fault 34 (NDS, NDX, 272) indicates the DSP not booting or digital signal processor (BridgeCo) initialisation failure. I’ve had it a few times, but not in the last few years, I’ve found power cycling has always fixed it.
Power off and leave it 10 or so minutes, then power on.

The power off and on 30 minutes later did not work!
i wonder if it could be a fault in my 555 DR ps. I also have the single bundy cable between the NDS that I could try!
Worth a try to eliminate the 555 and cables, but if not, it’s a real BridgeCo or DSP problem and that’s a trip back to Naim HQ.

What is a BridgeCo?
BridgeCo is a module on the network streaming board.
I understand no replacement parts are available.
The streamer board used in the NDS, NDX generation of Naim streamers.
It was commissioned and specially built for Naim, to their specifications.
It was fine, while you have the content on a local network or served by a local server.
Move the content and the server to a distance internet location and the networking buffer cannot cope over certain ISP connections, due to latency issues in the stream from the remote server.
Sadly BridgeCo, as a company did not survive.
In the later generations this was replaced by a generic product from Stream Unlimited, which is used in many different streamer type products. It can cope when the server is not local and can handle the latency with certain ISP connections. But only to a certain level.
Stream Unlimited were recently acquired by Bose, the “lifestyle audio” brand.
