A Fezz Audio Luna Mini just popped up in my daily second-hand audio internet site. Had heard about them as a European alternate (Poland, I think) to the Chinese-made Cayin. But only because they’re stocked by my dealer back in the UK. Haven’t heard one, and reviews of the Mini are few and far between.
@ninanina has mentioned SET amps pairing well with the Klipsch Heresy a few times, so thought this may be something worth auditioning. I think this Mini has EL34s on it.
Anyone experience with Fezz tubes or the Luna Mini? Interested to hear some thoughts.
A friend of mine is currently exploring Fezz as one of a couple of options. Their UK distributor dissolved last month having been incorporated barely 2 years ago to distribute them and a couple of others like Plinius. At present they’re leaving dealers to distribute existing stock and have no plans to bring new stuff into the UK unless a new distributor can be found. The dealers who sell them all seem to have access to someone to do maintenance so that’s something to consider.
I was exploring them as an option before settling on the Feliks. I think the latest generation look stunning. The previous, less so.
Sound wise we both noted that there appears to be compatibility with maybe 50% of the speakers you might expect them to be compatible with so some caution needs to be exercised.
As a polish guy, by my parents, and even still speak polish, I am proud that Poland produces many audio brands nowadays.
There’s a polish magazine I recommend. Ok, as always, never bad products reviewed, and each new product is wonderful. But they compare products with each other and you can discover some brands.
High fidelity magazine Poland.
