While I understand that the solid purple light indicates that the streamer is recalling a former wifi connection, no matter how many hard/factory resets I do, I cannot wean it off it. Any suggestions other than connecting via an ethernet cable? Incredibly frustrating!

I’ve done this ad nauseum, yet button reverts to solid purple every time!
How good is the wifi signal? It will need a good strong signal to find the Wifi. Try it in close proximity to the router.
Signal is strong. In any case, after about the 127th attempt, the reset finally worked.
A frustrating task, but I appreciate the response.

Nd5xs2 via wifi is a PITA IMO. Mine is on wifi and pretty much next to WAP, yet was painfull to connect initially. And even now sometimes requires a full on/off to bring it back to life. The app can find it, but it dont want to play.
Ndx2 on the other hand is also on wifi in main system and rock solid.
Pretty sure naim must have used the cr£ppy wifi module from the muso on the nd5xs2.
