Eighty five million quid!!!
We had a plan. Anderson was probably the first choice, but he wanted to go to City and Fernandes was probably number two, but he was rated too expensive. I wonder if Scott will be rated, but he will also be expensive, and then Tchouameni is mentioned, who I think is the best fit for that role in midfield and who is probably not that expensive. Here the salary could perhaps become a problem. PSG bought Neves and Vitinha for a total of 100 million euros. I very much subscribe to the view that there is value out there.
Thanks for the kind words, Kev. ![]()

Surely lightening can’t strike three times… can it ?
Hopefully, we will collect some decent players around him, unlike…
It does start to feel that WHU are our feeder club. Hopefully, not feeding us duds…
Tonali!!!
What a window we’re having.
Where’s all the Spurs cash coming from?
Come on now… Danny Boy was a tight one. ![]()
To be honest, we have been a very well run club financially over the years so there’s not a cat in hells chance of us getting into financial bother with the Premier League for overspending.
The new bosses (though still part of the Lewis empire and ENIC) seem to be a different kettle of fish, and after two 17th place finishes and a general neglect of the footballing side of THFC, have realised that big investment is necessary. They dumped Baldy and are pumping in a lot of dosh, though some of it will be offset by the large-scale clear out planned this summer (today we sold Vuskovic to Brighton for 50 million for example).
I can see the Tonali deal being concluded in the next few days.
Oliver Glasner to Forest - what the actual fck. You left Palace to go to Forest?!!!
They don’t have a drum.
Tonali doubling his wages with a £275k a week contract at Spurs. Thanks for repaying our loyalty mate! Another #septic6 signing.
I do admire Spurs’ ambition in the transfer window thus far; they seem to be really going for it.
Ivory Coast winger Toure looks to be coming from the WC to the Toon for a medical. A right-footed left winger, so looks like a direct Gordon replacement. ![]()

ENIC, and about bloody time.
It will be interesting to see how it’s invested this time around.
Why any self respecting manager would go to Forest is beyond me. I thought Pereira did a really job last season.
Better than last summer hopefully! Unlike the Isak deal, at least we’re getting c.£165m early in the window, rather than getting backed into a corner and having to panic buy at the last minute. We’ll see.
As much as it pains me to say it financially the Spuds are a very well run club away from the footballing side of things with entertainment events etc they’ve been quietly amassing lots and lots of money wether or not bribing players to play for you is the best use of those funds we are about to find out.
For your sake I hope your spending spree is somewhat more successful than Liverpool’s was last year.
Frankly, your new players are hopelessly overvalued, just as Liverpool’s have proved to be.
To put it in perspective, in Norfolk (& certain parts of Cornwall!) there is great excitement building over our new £8.5 million acquisition from Sheffield United, Andre Brooks. It may be all it takes to lead us to Anfield & the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the season after next!
All my school friends are regrettably Liverpool season ticket holders. They’ve a very different take on this i.e. that the purchases were uniformly excellent, the Isak injury was regrettable but everyone else was clearly a needed upgrade. The issue was that the death of Jota pretty much ended pre season training and they ended up with a team whose fitness levels began to deplete after 60 minutes at the very latest in most games. Most of them were of the view that they had the right players and then had the season most of them were expecting when they won the title.
I don’t think the vast majority of Spurs fans give a damn ![]()
Well, Wertz certainly shone for Germany over the past couple of weeks.
Dunno – but I can tell you where it’s going, and that’s down the drain.
