I have great pleasure in announcing that the forum factory visit this Summer is scheduled for Thursday the 6th August, 2026.
Members would be responsible to making their own way to and from the factory in Salisbury. Arrival would be at 10-10.15AM and the visit will end approximately 4-4.30pm.
Due to a number of factors, the number of visitors is limited to 8. So, due to the high level of interest in these factory visits, any member who wishes to be considered for the visit should please post their intention here on this thread within the next few days. If the number is more than 8 (likely given the interest on the previous thread) then I will then gather the names and pick the lucky ones from a hat. If you aren’t lucky this time, there will be another opportunity in a few months for the Autumn/Advent visit.
Amazed to see that this date works for me so I shall definitely throw my hat in the ring. Clearly going to require a hotel the night before so all suggestions welcome on that front should I be lucky enough to be selected.
I would throw my hat in the ring for this one but had better not as I’m having an operation on my leg this coming Wednesday and may not have recovered sufficiently should I be lucky enough to get drawn out…I’ll definitely go in the draw for the Autumn visit
This is where I have stayed on three occasions when visiting Salisbury. Breakfast is very good. The rooms I stayed in were a million miles from that though. The Ox Row Inn serves nice food and is situated right in the centre. Best of luck to all on the visit
