@Richard.Dane can there not be a system that for those that apply but never get picked go on some sort of short list? Even take into account contributions to the forum?
We can’t expect Richard’s mum to understand and take into account all of that.

That’s basically what happens anyway - all you have to do is just remember to throw your name in the hat the next time.
All members get treated equally regardless of number of posts.

Each draw, there are also three ‘secret’ extras that get drawn as standbys just in case someone drops out. If somebody does drop out then the 9th name to be drawn is contacted, and so forth..

I was fortunate to experience the Linn Products factory tour and demos today thanks to Nigel Moore at Peter Tyson .
It’s fantastic to get insight into the production of some of today’s latest equipment ,hopefully my opportunity will eventually come with Naim Audio.
My feet are in both camps ,come on British innovation, engineering and manufacturing.

Essentially yes. With so many wanting to go, it’s the fairest way. Furthermore, we have increased the number of visits from one to three a year to hopefully let as many as possible have a chance.
But of course, it’s not the only way to visit the factory. For example, Naim dealers often organise visits with a group of customers, so you could ask your own Naim dealer about arranging such a visit.

I’m happy with how it is and relying on the integrity of members to not throw their names back into the hat for a while if they’ve been lucky.

Yes, the understanding is that members who have already been on the tours don’t throw their names back in again to let others have a chance.
The only obvious exception here is for any Beta group visit.

Just a quick update on timings; Please aim to be at the factory for 10-10.15am (There will be coffee served). We aim to finish up around 4-4.15pm.

When you enter the trading estate, turn first left and follow the road (just past NEXT) around to the right until you see the Naim Audio factory buildings. There’s plenty of parking around the estate close to the factory. There may also be some limited coned spaces up by the factory building next to the barrier.
