Ok; i’ve had some confirmation that my units are with the dealer today and i’ve arranged to have them delivered by the latter part of next week, i’m just too busy during the middle of next week, so more than likely by the beginning of next weekend. That could be a rather short weekend in the making, coupled possibly with big yawns on Monday morning, at work, i feel…

Delivery company APC attempted to deliver my amplifier to the wrong address yesterday. They even took a photo of a front door i have no recognition of. How is this so? I live on a main road… i don’t hold much hope with those guys. I mean, if i can find a tiny little village in the middle of nowhere on my motorcycle, then surely these delivery guys should be able find an address on a main through road in a town centre, but low and behold, welcome to the UK 2026 
Anyway i’m without music for another week. I’ve sent an e-mail to the courier company explaining exactly where to deliver my item. So another date has been set for the end of next week. Fingers firmly crossed!

Have they actually recovered the boxes from the location they left them in the photo? When this happened to me (albeit with a low value item) the courier never actually admitted their fault once their photo evidence had been produced.

Very sorry to hear of your issue. With the value of the units I would have expected the dealer to have delivered them directly to you. Personally, I have always collected any purchases that I make, to reduce the damage in transit risk.

Hi Chris,
a photo was taken of a front door only, with a short message saying something along the lines of ‘no one was in and so we’re unable to deliver the items’.I’m guessing no one answered the door anyway. AFAIK my items have made their way back to my local delivery depot.
I was looking forward to a nice weekend with my new amplifier. I won’t have the time next weekend, other than to receive my delivery. I’m too busy with other commitments for the next few weeks, and so unboxing it will be highly unlikely, for a little while now.

I purchased my NAC332 & NC 250 from a dealership quite a way from me as i managed to find a good deal on my trade-ins. Funny thing is this same delivery company collected my SN3/HCDR and successfully delivered them to the dealer i purchased my 332/250 from. You couldn’t make it up

Ah, that’s a shame that your expectations weren’t also met the second time around!
My local dealer is excellent and I continue to use them, though I will admit that I did drive a 200+ miles roundtrip to get a better deal when I traded my NAP250DR for the 350’s.

Id not spotted that even naim refer to them as “ new classic”. Always assumed it was a forum thing. Clearly I didnt spend any time looking at my nap350 boxes !

yes i’m keeping my NDX 2/XPS DR, it’s still a formidable source component and i feel it still has more to give than what i was receiving through my SN3/HCDR. Of course the main reason for my new upgrade path here was to allow my Solstice turntable to spread its wings a little more.
I’m hoping to get a performance boost from both players naturally, if all else being equal and that happens, well then i’m a happy chappy.

Up and running! I like what i’m hearing. More of everything straight from the bat!
Now to spend the whole day ploughing through all of my music collection as the system beds in.
Still trying to source another Fraim for my Solstice turntable (work in progress).. Currently it’s an either or situation with my sources. NDX 2/XPS DR stepping up to the table to help bed things in. Still need to tweak around the edges as regards to set-up & cable dressing.
To early to give an opinion as the system is warming up but suffice to say i’m not missing my SN3/HCDR and there’s certainly no buyer’s remorse.

Looking great @Stephen_Tate !
Though I think your XPSDR would be better on the bottom shelf as it will be further away from your NAC332 and your sources. I’ve kept my power supplies on the lowest shelves in all my recent setups. It also helped cable dressing.
Current → CDX2.2 / NAC332 / NAP350 / NAP350 / NPX300 / XPSDR
Previous → CDX2.2 / NAC332 / NAP350 / NAP350 / XPSDR

Preamp on top works best for me with 333 and 332, as it did in the past with my NDX2/282. It’s a subtle improvement and arguably not essential if you prefer to do otherwise, but still the optimal stacking order in my experience.

I’m currently in the process of obtaining another Fraim rack for my Solstice turntable. I’ve allowed for a vacant shelf should this be required.

Wow! This new kit is so good isn’t it?
I’m feeling the music like never before.
I’ve utilised the new NAC A5 connectors that came with my NC 250 and so whipped out my soldering iron and re-terminated the amp end NAC A5 cables with those.
A brand new Fraim rack has been ordered for my precious Solstice turntable. As Robbie Williams once sang - “She’s the one…”
