Tempted by a piece of s/h kit being sold by the above outfit, including trading in some of my no-longer-used kit. They appear quite well set up as far as I can tell from their web presence, but one can never be sure and I don’t remember coming across them before.
Anyone had any experience with them and prepared to share feedback before I get more involved?

They have an eBay site with around 1,065 reviews 1,030 positive, 15 neutral and 20 negative.
Of course, it is always the negative reviews that are the most interesting.
I do not know the company, but in looking at their website, it does not comply with the UK Companies Act, as I could not find any contact details with a physical address of their registered office, nor phone or email contact, for that matter, just a contact form on the website.
They may be just fine, but it makes me suspicious when I see a website like that.
I’ve been buying/selling of the bay for years I’ve never trusted this seller, don’t know why just a feeling. Also I think his prices are to high,
But that said, if it’s not as described eBay will give you your money back, I know this might be a pain in the ass sending it back and stuff but you won’t be out of pocket,

I am put off by the hand written sign placed over the sale equipment.
ebay have a return policy that favours the buyer, ask for a refund and usually they find in the buyers favour.
It certainly is lol. I’ve just read all of them……………………….an attitude or what ? Someone that has this guy’s attitude towards customers would certainly never find me pressing the buy button.

A couple of weeks later and I did actually buy the kit from him in the end. Although there was no response from the query I posted on the website (which is never impressive), messaging on eBay was fine. His messages were extraordinarily terse but we covered all the important issues without using an excess of flowery prose.
He gave me what I thought was a good deal on the kit I wanted, with what I wanted to trade in, so I went to pick it up at the address posted above, which I can confirm is a real place with real people and everything. He had a huge variety of s/h kit in stock, including some absolute classics (e.g. a Nak ZX-7, 1990s B&W 801s, Garrard 301s) so he seemed to know his stuff. We tested everything that was changing hands, exchanged funds and that was that.
Sure, it wasn’t the sleek and gentrified surroundings of many a high-end dealership, such as many of us here might be used to - even expect - but in this case it did the business and I’ve got a piece of kit I’ve wanted for years at what I think was a good price.
