Interestingly I associate TW with it, but I don’t recall any singing! (I guess I’’m lucky!?)
Mike Sarne and Wendy Richards, Come Out Side. Released 5 years before I landed on this planet. Love it, always makes me smile.
The Seekers Come The Day album - pristine original UK COLUMBIA pressing - is in constant rotation around our way.
Guiltless pleasure all round.

A few shamelessly uncool classics that are in constant rotation around our way…
As others have said… Good music is good music!

Oh dear I also like Roger Whittaker …
Also now admit to:
Middle Of The Road - ‘Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep’……, on this thread quite a lot…..
Freda Payne - ‘Band of Gold’
The Mixtures - ‘The Pushbike Song’
Mungo Jerry - ‘In The Summertime’
Clive Dunn - ‘Grandad’
Terry Wogan with Brighouse&Rastrick Band - ‘Floral Dance’
Blue Mink - ‘Melting Pot’
Don Estelle and Windsor Davies - ‘Whispering Grass’
Also some charity shop finds by Peter’s & Lee, Andy Williams, Barbra Streisand, Tom Jones and Roger Whittaker. Some of the vinyl albums of crooners were recorded very well back in the day. Also Swingle II - ‘Windmills Of Your Mind’. That’s it, probably!
I may make a Qobuz playlist of some of this lot also……
Train whistle blowing
Makes a sleepy noise
Underneath their blankets
Go all the girls and boys
Rockin’, rollin’, ridin’
Out along the bay
All bound for Morningtown
Many miles away
plus, Live at the Talk of the Town…….
The Carnival Is Over
I would not describe The Seekers as a guilty pleasure. Judith Durham had a wonderful voice.
Less a guilty pleasure more of a “where the heck did that come from?”
Anni DiFranco - Come away from it.
One of the great things about streaming and Qobuz is coming across suggestions from others and being able to try them out.
7:00am tomorrow in NZ England vs Argentina - not really a football fan but I will be watching and cheering on for the country of my birth….. Tom.
DiFranco
Endlessly fascinating artist. I don’t always love her stuff but there’s always something there.
As my son would say “my bad”
I just realised, I retired 7 years ago and since have never used a keyboard or a mouse, only a tablet……
I’m one year in but have been only using a tablet and occasional keyboard . I’ll never use a PC or laptop ever again. The tablet does literally everything I need.
Floral Dance - The one with Sir. Terry Wogan singing?
Taylor Swift; ‘We are never getting back together’.
Jack the volume, sit back and smile.
That’s a nice pic that I’ve not seen before.
