I followed Richard’s advice, and powered everything off for a couple of minutes. But when I switched it back on, I also installed the new firmware. So now I don’t know whether it was the power down that fixed it, or the update.
Since it worked for a while and suddenly stopped (before you updated), there’s a good chance the devices “got confused” or “lost sync”.
I think that’s what the “reboot” of each device can help resolve, by resetting them to a “default good state”. (Just like “confused” computers, phones, etc. - there’s a lot of software and firmware in these devices these days.)
