I have just realised that I am just passing the 10th anniversary of acquiring my much loved HDX and have a question that has always interested me…I control the box via PC Desktop Client and iPhone n-serve app and the library summary data differs as follows:

Desktop Client: 1,540 artists with 8,512 albums
n-serve app: 1,542 artists (more) with 8,511 albums (less)

Particularly odd as the two differences are in different directions, but obviously based off the same file data. Call me nerdy but I would love to understand how this is happening, presumably something about how the different software programs work in filtering and summarising data…

Some albums may contain more than one artist used for metdata sorting.

But that would not explain differences between the two different apps.
Try clearing the cashe in both applications and see what happens/
