Does anyone know if there is a simple plug-in wifi adapter that can be used in the HDX ethernet socket? I’m not interested in multi-room streaming. I connect to the router using a cable but would like to reduce the number of cables spaghetti-ing round the room. Thanks.
Welcome to the madhouse RCH … think many people might add here but the general consensus is not to use the ethernet over mains stuff that can be bought. Please use the HDX wired as it’s a great piece of kit!
You can put a wireless access point near the HDX, and connect them both to a switch rather than directly to each other. I’ve done this in the past with an AirPort Express, which worked fine, but more modern wireless access points might be worth a look these days.
Yup, an Airport Express can work very well.
