If this has something to do with connecting your Mark Levinson No. 5909 headphones in “pure passive mode”, you must use the included, proprietary, Mark Levinson 3.5mm to USB-C cable. As discussed previously, they are using the USB-C connector in a non-standard way to pass the analog signal into the No 5909s. Therefore, you won’t find any 3rd party, braided-cable substitutes.
Also, AFAICT, the No. 5909 pure passive mode won’t work with a balanced 4.4mm connection. It is designed for unbalanced connections, which for headphones, are typically via 3.5mm (1/8") or 6.3mm (1/4") connectors.
BTW, for audio purposes, USB-C is used to convey a digital audio signal. Conversely, 3.5mm and 4.4mm jacks are typically used to convey analog signals. Normally, the combination of these connectors (digital and analog) are not used in a passive cable, unless there’s some sort of proprietary connection involved. E.g. The proprietary ML “pure passive mode” cable.
Otherwise, a cable with both digital and analog connectors probably includes an inline DAC which does the conversion from digital to analog. In the same manner as is done in a dongle DAC. And dongle DACs typically have much better DACs than cables with a DAC hidden in one of the connectors.
