I watched a reaction video on YouTube to this song, about a month ago. Not something I had looked for, or seen before. Not an artist I’ve heard of before. But here, in my opinion, is a talent, not to be ignored.

I have now watched this video many times, each time it reveals something new.

I am now going down a Ren rabbit hole. The more I hear, the better it gets.

I stumbled across Ren on the Tube a couple of years ago, and as the original poster rightly says, he just gets better, the more you listen.

(I find it easier to get the full story by having subtitles enabled, but maybe that’s just me.)

I think the team who do these videos with Ren, are also top of their game. They practice, then mike up and shoot while playing live. I understand that The Hi Ren video was a single live take, using multiple cameras, and they used the 4th attempt.
Then you have, Chalk Outlines. Give Chinchilla the lines, practice a couple of times, mike up and go. Done, first time, it blows my mind just how good they all are.
