The characters in the picture are from the classic book by L.F. Baum and the MGM film The Wizard of Oz.
Note that in the picture they are listening to Dark Side of the Moon
There is a “fan” theory that the record was designed to synchronise with the movie.
The theory is that starting the album between the 2nd and 3rd roar of the MGM lion synchronises the music with the film.
Interesting - I’d never never heard of that “theory”. People do invent weird things, but maybe the film would be interesting to try watching with that as a soundtrack… (Anyone here tried?)
If I had a DVD of Wizard, then I would try it, but am I gonna buy a copy just to do it? errr no.
Better not to think about this 
Plus, you would need to make sure both system clocks (of DVD and music source) were fully synchronised and stable, with no phase wandering between them.
