I had a pair in the early ‘90s. They did sound very good indeed I recall.

ouch
Were you not streaming non local stuff from the Zenith then?
Well where do I start? I sold a pair of Kans, Mordaunt short Pageants and Nait1 to my brother: no regrets as I picked up a pair of Kans 30 years later for a song. I part exchanged my SBLs for Ovator S600s, again no regrets except for a bit of nostalgia.
The tricky bit is vinyl: Pioneer, Thorens, LP12, Roksan. I miss them all. I now have another LP12 but its spec is no match for streaming. Should I upgrade my LP12 further? Not yet.
The Kef Reference 105.4s are the speakers I should have kept. Should have spend the money on better amplfication at the time instead of trying to find better loudspeakers.
I was, qobuz and local files. Its a fine piece of kit but the Hifi Rose is better and has more functionality
I sold my Linn Troika when I moved abroad. I wish I had kept it along with the Asak T I had before the Troika.
Olive Nait 2 and Reg’s ELAs. Rose tinted glasses maybe, but fantastic sounds from such a simple setup.
I regretted trading my A&R A60E (with black wood) when I had the notion that I might one day have a small second system. I still have a Planar 3, Talismans and about 900 LPs in storage. The reality is that in addition to our main system in the lounge, with music of many resolutions on NAS, Musos distributed around the house, and the Uniti Atom Headphone edition to hand, we’ve got all we need.
A pair of Royd Edens, first proper speakers … like a first love.
Shahinian Compass speakers. I’ve had two pairs and both times swapped them, and cash, for Obelisks (that I still have) but … there’s something about the Compass that I still miss.
My Linn Axis & vinyl. Sold when cds first appeared.

That reminds me, when i was very young i had a new pair of Heybrook HB1 that I loved at the time
Still got my old Axis and Akito in the loft. Hasn’t been used for years. Need to dig it out and get it serviced.
And now their production is offshore , I freely admit I bought my Sabres unheard (dealer thought I was mad) on the finish alone.
Funnily enough, they sounded warm and rich , the cabinet matched the sound.
As I said earlier , blown up after I gave them away
I made the same error and ended up getting another LP12 a few years later. Expensive business!
I truly regret selling my Meridian 200/203 CD player. Lovely bit of kit, sounded great and very well made.
The Axis was a lovely turntable wasn’t it.
They were stunning - I have a pair which need some attention as the mid/bass rubber surrounds have perished. I gave them to my dad, I guess they’re mine again now that he’s passed on.
Can they still do that? Axis/Basik/K9 was an excellent combination in college after a ‘cheap as chips’ Sony and a Revolver.
It may or may not have helped (certainly not my wallet) that the local Linn dealer was around 150 yards away!
