Yes I will be there and create the usual report. I first will be at the high end deluxe on Friday and then visit the normal show on Saturday and Sunday.

This is the presence of Naim with a modest system. I just booked my first listening session with Goldmund at the Vienna show. Will explore more options so I don’t have to constantly wait for tickets which they give out for listening sessions scheduled later….., so I am at least settled for the main ones….

Interesting. As far as I can see, there’s no way to book demonstrations directly via the High-End app. Goldmund offers a booking service on its website. I haven’t found any information about this on the websites of Marten or Aries Cerat. Does this mean that, given the large number of exhibitors, it isn’t possible to book in advance? Or have I got something wrong?

So nothing new from Naim at Vienna then…

It looks like it, similar setup as in Leipzig. Showing that one can play great music at an acceptable investment. The new 500 will then be next year….

The Leipzig setup sounded surprisingly good, though.

I was also surprised that I need to order it online, I only saw that 1 time before at another room at Munich where you need an online thing. By accident I got to it as there was a video on Goldmund by Jay’s Audiolab which was raving about the amplifiers of the brand. This triggered me to have a look at the website which then triggered me to order the tickets for the listening session. In most rooms it will be still walk in type of setup although more and more brands also require you to first pick up a ticket before you can sit in (annoying, as I like to just make a normal round)…

Yes I would argue it was a good value proposition, and you get the aspects of Naim we like also at that price level.

Bet it sound better than the setup I experienced in Munich a few times, those Sopra is just not to my taste.

I was hoping for Naim to “make a splash” as insinuated last year, but, given the lack of any teasers at social media, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Oh well, I’ll keep hoping for a shoebox NSS 111!

Beginning to think naim can’t inpove the 500 gear, which if so is a great shame.

Of course they can, if they were allowed.

Lets hope they do so then asap. As its been a long time coming

I think things can be improved and optimized. The statement proofs what headroom is possible in amplification. I think the bigger field is however the digital frontend - developments seem to have more impact there …

The dac certainly will have to be very different as no more burr browns, i think this is their major stumbling block to over come.

Happy to visit, but seems they are neither at the high end nor the high end deluxe. If you enlighten me and tell the room I might find them - then happy to oblige…
