Hi all, thanks for the ad. I recently purchased a Naim mu so, it was working really well for a couple of weeks and this morning it’s just stopped responding. The power light is on but unresponsive there is no light on the side at all, I have tried resetting, unplugging but no response. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Where are you, where did you buy it, again an again we can’t help
Martin
When you unplug it, leave it off for a couple of minutes. When you power it back on again, are there any lights that flash on the back? If so, what colour do they flash?
And is it connected over wi-fi or cabled ethernet?
I live in Suffolk & I bought it on eBay,
good to know!

If bought new, contact the seller, if s/h contact Naim support in Salisbury, you can call them at 01722 426600 or email them at support@naimaudio.com.
Hi thanks for the interest. It’s connected over the Wi-Fi, after leaving it unplugged all night when I plugged it back in the only light that comes on is the power light on the top. The status light on the side does not light up, it’s almost as if it’s asleep and can’t respond.
Have you contacted Naim support?
So does it work via ethernet cable ?
No, I’m going to try a factory reset later
Good luck with that. Sounds like it needs a visit to naim.
Yes, I have spoken to them. They advised me to do the factory reset. Which I have just tried and absolutely nothing happens, so I’m going to try and get back to eBay.
I’ve just tried a cable and no response.
Sounds dead then. Dealer time.
So up & running thanks to finding this, thanks for your help.# Muso Gen 1 Deep Reset Procedure
The instructions for the deep reset are:
-
Power off the unit at the wall and give it 30 seconds for its power supply to fully discharge.
-
Press the reset pin into the reset hole (next to the LED status indicator) until you feel a slight click, and hold it in.
-
With the reset pin held in, power the unit back on at the wall, and keep the pin held in for 15 seconds, or until you see the status LED turn blue & alternate segments on the volume dial light up - then release the pin immediately.
-
Switch unit off at the wall again, and wait for all lights to go dark (this will take longer than usual).
-
Power the unit back on approx 10 seconds after all lights have gone out. The unit’s LED segments should all come on around the dial, then go out one by one - this is the reset itself. Once all the segments have gone dark again, the unit should re-enter its normal state of looking for the network briefly, then connecting.
Note - this reset does not reset the network settings, presets or any preferences stored on the Mu-so/Qb.
Glad it is not dead. Sounds like you need a lie down after that.
I wonder if naim could have made the process a little more complex?
