I have owned Linn and Rega but are very impressed by the quality and performance of these direct drive turntables.

A good TT with your Nait would be very good BUT do you have a dealer who could demonstrate some options. In my experience at your price level I would think a Rega p3 would be just the job but Project would be another option.
