How do I limit list of music servers?

I have a couple of Atoms streaming music off a QNAP NAS running Plex. I have a few other NAS drives. When I go to the server list the app shows all my servers. Is there a way to limit the list simply to show my music store?

Thanks

I think it’s the case that all the upnp servers will show up and that you can’t set things so that only one shows. If streaming is your main source, you’ll probably find that Asset is preferable to Plex. It’s worth trying.

If you have any NAS drives running UPnP servers that you don’t need, disable them on the NAS so that they disappear. Otherwise they will constantly broadcast their availability over the network, and any UPnP client devices (including your Atoms) will automatically discover them. That’s just the way UPnP works.

Thanks. Unfortunately I do use them for other (non-music) storage so need them on UPnP

Thanks

If you are just using the NAS for mapping drives (SMB file sharing), then you may find UPnP isnt needed

I think Chris is suggesting disabling or removing the media server software that is loaded on the nas.

The atoms are discovering the media server, not the nas.

Yes, as I said, disable unused UPnP servers, but if they’re used for other stuff such as photo or video I guess that’s not an option.
Just to be clear, we are of course talking about disabling the UPnP server software, not turning off the whole NAS.

Another option would be to create a vlan; a virtual lan that includes the atom and only the nas devices that have the music on them.

The downside is any device outside of the vlan will not be able to see or interact with anything on the vlan, unless it’s possible to “straddle” vlans on a pc ie see both at the same time.
