How long does it take to make a NAC 332

Just to be clear, I don’t mind waiting 6 weeks, it’s just not knowing. Should be soon now

Back in the Glory Days, when Naim had just 2 preamps, one NAXO , one NAPS and three power amps…pretty much every dealer had stock of every item on the shelves. So if you bought something, the dealer would pop around the next day and install it for you. Because dealer installation was a mandate back then.
Things are quite different today.

Maybe in a very distant past in the UK. Outside the Uk I doubt this was ever the case. My own experience has in a way been different. When I bought my nd555 it showed up at the distributor or rather it was already there so no wait. The same happened with the 332 and 350. It took as I remember it about 2 weeks.

Picking up my NAC 332 tomorrow.

Will be great to complete the system. :slightly_smiling_face:

7 weeks, not so bad really as the Atom did a great job in holding the fort.

There’s nothing quite like anticipating a new Naim box @back_in_the_game

Enjoy!

Nice one. Did you get offered an install / setup out of curiosity?

Hi Martin,

Good question. I did not, but I am pretty sure that they would have come if I asked.

I did have a problem setting it up myself, no sound, but a call to the dealer sorted it pretty quickly - I had not assigned the 333 to a specific input on the 332.

Overall I am happy with the dealer, I spent a lot of time auditioning DACs, amps and speakers with them, and there was never any pressure to make a decision or any sales malarkey.

I also got what I think was a very good discount on the 332/333.

They also returned my Atom to Naim last year when I was only a prospect, no fee or quibble - and also took my 7-year old non-HDMI Atom in p/x for the price I was after, albeit I had to twist their arm a bit.

All three guys at Audiobarn are great fellas, eager to help and no question of push back. I would go back and recommend them to others.

Tom Tom were also really good (it’s a Naim museum!), though this time I did not buy from them.

I got the speakers from Rayleigh Hifi, and they were brilliant too, couldn’t do enough for me - and I picked up some great new music too!

All three are good dealers.

Thx,
Tony

Me? No, I’m retiring soon. I’ve been a saver for years, so this was a chance to unleash a bit - a retirement present. :slightly_smiling_face:

Aimed at Geko, but no doubt you are also worthy; perchance an enhanced tax-free lump sum?

Ahh right, sorry.

PCLS still intact, once the mortgage and kids are off one’s hands you can start storing the nuts
