I have recently purchased a NAIT 3 for my son in very good condition from a friend and would like to clean the volume control / balance control along with the input switches and have remove the ground on the underside of the amplifier with the 4 insert tabs and finding it very difficult to remove the top cover . Is there an additional thing that I have to do to have it removed ? I do not want to force anything so I stopped and seek advice . Thank you all .

Have you removed the plastic pins and the actual rivets themselves?

I’ve often removed the pins and their holders using a Stanley blade. Just gently ease each one out at a time. If too much force is applied on the pin itself, the head may break off, so go careful here.

Hi Richard , I have taken the screw which is the ground to the case and the 4 pin which was pretty easy to remove but the cover just doesn’t slide off /.

I have taken the 4 pin out , is there anything else that needs to be removed?

Yes, you need to remove both the pin and the rivet body

Thanks Richard , will now take out the rivet body . Just didn’t want to do anything without knowing first on this perfect condition Nait 3 . Thank you all again .
