Identifying Snaic cable direction

Hi , newby here. Can anyone tell me how you indentify the cable direction. ? Thanks in advance

The source end has a band around it. If you look at the various manuals it’s very clear.

Yes.

All I know about Snaics is that:

  1. the band goes at the source end

  2. Snaic5s [5 pin] have a green band and Snaic4s [4 pin] have a white band.

I’m not sure there’s much more to it…unless you want to know what Snaics do and how they do it, in which case, I’m not your man.

And it’s the source of the music rather than the source of the power. Say you are connecting a 202 and a Hicap: the band goes at the 202 end. And when connecting said Hicap to a 200, the band goes at the Hicap end.
