If you like Gabriel era Genesis or King Crimson’s Mellotron

I have rediscovered, from my youth, French band Ange and really enjoying their albums at the moment. They actually appeared at a festival with Genesis and they have a magnificent keyboard that sounds like a mellotron but isn’t.

I recommend their second, third and fourth albums: (1973) Le Cimetière des arlequins, (1974) Au-delà du délire, (1975) Émile Jacotey

“The Musical Box” - 1970’s Genesis tribute band who tour regularly are also highly relevant and recommended.

They usually cover the early Genesis/Gabriel catalogue up to “Lamb”, although this year they are touring with a set based on the Phil Collins era 1976-80 .
