Some impressive wildlife photos here, some rather poignant such as the Ugandan rangers with confiscated snares. Not quite the usual type.

Saw a similar article behind a paywall.
Seems to be suggesting avoiding feeding birds during certain months to reduce numbers which are then exposed to an unpleasant parasite at the feeding stations which is affecting finches in particular.

This has been a known issue for some years. I’m surprised it’s taken them so long to start openly discouraging bird feeders.

What’s strange is that in the last 12 months or so since I stopped feeding (rodents 
) we seem to have a different population of birds and their songs are so much sweeter!
